Angie's Kitchen began with a simple yet powerful vision: to serve Atlanta’s homeless and economically disadvantaged families and individuals with compassion, dignity, and hope.
In 2021, Vernon Krause and Rev. Clifton Dawkins came together, driven by a shared calling to meet the growing needs in Atlanta. They recognized a heartbreaking gap — many individuals and families lacked access to basic resources like hot meals, clean clothing, and essential hygiene items.
With a heart for service and a passion for restoring lives, Vernon and Rev. Dawkins launched Angie’s Kitchen inside True Worship Christian Fellowship Church. Starting with just a few volunteers, they quickly built a place of welcome and support for anyone in need. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into a daily outreach program, serving hot meals, distributing pantry goods, clothing, hygiene supplies, and offering community resource referrals — all at no cost.
Today, Angie's Kitchen serves hundreds of individuals every week, offering not just food but a renewed sense of dignity, hope, and opportunity. We are grateful for the volunteers, donors, and community partners who continue to make this mission possible.
